MPS ROTTERDAM
The MPS Rotterdam, is our flagship vessel chartered exclusively by Shearings. A beautifully designed traditional 4-deck ship the vessel was renovated in 2009 to raise the standard to a 4* rating in preparation for Shearings. On board you will find soft furnishings in rich colours and dark cherry tones emulating an air of elegance. Once enveloped in these stylish surroundings you’re ready to embark and visit an array of ports and absorb breathtaking scenery.
Life on board
Adjusting to your new surroundings will be easy... the relaxed nature of our cruises and the attentive service provided by our staff means life on board is a sheer joy. There are four enticing decks for you to explore. Venture to the Promenade Deck, home to the chic and elegant central reception, on-board boutique and a number of twin cabins. The Lounge Deck is where you'll discover the restaurant where you'll sample delightful delicacies. You may choose to relax at the bar or in the stylish and comfortable lounge with a panoramic view to capture the stunning scenery as you sail. In addition there's live music for you to enjoy twice a week. Why not head to the top and admire the picturesque scenery serenely drifting past from the comfort of the partially covered Sun Deck – you won’t be disappointed. If you have time there's even a small exercise area to ensure you're keep ship shape. The MPS Rotterdam has the perfect mix of comfort and fantastic facilities. Cabins
When you’re on holiday it’s nice to have those creature comforts, so we’re delighted to showcase our selection of cabins offering satellite TV, telephone, air conditioning and heating, as well as having a stylish bathroom with shower. Prices are based on sharing a double/twin grade C cabin on the main deck. Please note that supplements reflect the deck or cabin position and not the size of the cabin.
Grade C Main deck single/double/twin (Included category) - All cabins offer multi channel satellite television, telephone, centrally regulated air conditioning/heating. All cabins are fitted with a private bathroom (shower and toilet). The majority of cabins have a dressing table.

MV VIRGINIA
If you’re looking for a quality cruise experience but on a more intimate scale, you must consider the MV Virginia, like many of our passengers have already. You can enjoy life on board the MV Virginia at your own pace. The laid back and leisurely atmosphere provides the perfect environment in which you can relax, unwind and really make the most of your holiday. There are ample places on board for you to simply sit back, relax and watch the world go by. Perhaps you’ll want to head up to the partially-covered Sun Deck, where you can embrace the fresh air – truly invigorating. Or why not take the opportunity to enjoy some refreshments in the stylishly furnished lounge, where you can listen to superb live music twice a week as you sail towards your next destination? But don’t worry if you can’t decide between the two – during your cruise you will have plenty of time to experience both of them! The well-furnished dining room offers a delightfully intimate atmosphere in which you can enjoy the delicious meals at your leisure. Even though there’s so much to see and do throughout your cruise, we know how important it is to you that your cabins offer a comfortable place for you to stay. You can rest assured that the cabins on board the MV Virginia are no exception. All 53 cabins on board the ship are outward facing and offer all the facilities you need to ensure that your time away is as relaxing as possible. However, when the scenery is as stunning as it is on this sightseeing spectacular along the Rhine and Moselle, Europe’s finest waterways, we don’t imagine you’ll be spending too much time in your cabin! Prices are based on a Grade D twin cabin.
Grade D – Cabin deck single/twin cabin - All cabins have air conditioning, shower & toilet, satellite TV (when in port), in house movies and twin beds.
Grade C – Rear main deck or promenade deck twin - As Grade D. Cabins have sliding windows.

Food and drink
Menus specially prepared for you by the on board chefs can be perused while stunning sights slowly sail by, truly the finest way to dine. Whether you’re looking forward to your breakfast, lunch or dinner, the outlook will never be the same – beautiful lush greenery in the morning or picturesque villages by night, it’s a truly delightful experience! On all cruises on board the MV Virginia you’ll start the day with a buffet breakfast – help yourself to the delicious items on offer. On cruises in the summer you’ll enjoy a threecourse lunch and four-course dinner, while spring and autumn cruises include a threecourse lunch and three-course dinner. You can also enjoy morning and afternoon tea and coffee as we sail along – we really do make sure that everything is taken care of just for you.

MV ESMERALDA

With so much to see and do, you’ll want to spend most of your time gazing out over the water. But that doesn’t mean we don’t pay attention to our cabins – by staying in any of the 63 outward facing cabins in the Main and Promenade Decks you’ll be treated to your own little glimpse of life on the river. All the cabins are comfortably equipped with private facilities, twin beds, air conditioning/heating, satellite TV and a safety deposit box. We just want to make sure you have an outstanding cruise adventure. Prices are based on sharing a two berth cabin on the Main Deck, with Promenade Deck Cabins available at a supplement.
Food and drink
The beauty about cruising is that each morning you wake up in a new and exciting location... well, the same can also be said about meal times! A buffet breakfast can be enjoyed overlooking the beautiful tranquil waters, you can enjoy your three-course lunch while meandering through the awe-inspiring Wachau Valley, whereas your four-course dinner can be accompanied by a magnificent mountain backdrop. Delicious, enticing meals coupled with diverse and enchanting scenery – what more could you ask for? We even provide morning and afternoon tea and coffee for you to enjoy – it’s all taken care of so that all you need to worry about is relaxing and enjoying yourself! MS SEINE PRINCESS
Built in 2002, the MS Seine Princess provides modern accommodation for 138 passengers, with a total of 3 decks with all the facilities you would expect of a river cruise ship. Of the 67 cabins, 22 cabins and 2 suites can be found on the Upper Deck and 43 on the Main Deck. All are fully equipped with shower and toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, safe, central heating/air conditioning, 220V electricity and radiophone. Delicious food served on board with an extensive buffet breakfast, with lunch and dinner with a French inspiration. There is also a fine wine menu available on board. The on board facilities are excellent and include a lounge-bar with a dance floor, bar, dining room, large sundeck with deckchairs and a gift shop.
MS CAMARGUE
Built in 1995 and refurbished in 2006, the MS Camargue provides comfortable accommodation for 146 passengers, with a total of 3 decks with an array of facilities at your disposal whilst you gently cruise along the Rhone. Of the 73 cabins, 29 cabins can be found on the Upper Deck and 40 on the Main Deck. All are fully equipped with shower and toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, safe, central heating/air conditioning, 220V electricity and radiophone. Delicious food served on board with an extensive buffet breakfast, with lunch and dinner with a French inspiration. There is also a fine wine menu available on board. The on board facilities are excellent and include a lounge-bar with a dance floor, bar, dining room, large sundeck with deckchairs and a gift shop.
MS MICHELANGELO
Built in 2000 and refurbished in 2006, the ship offers a comfortable accommodation for 158 passengers. The interior has facilities including a lounge area, bar, dance floor, tasteful dining room, gift shop and a large spacious sun deck with swimming pool. All 78 cabins have are fully equipped with shower and toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, safe, central heating/air conditioning, 220V electricity and radiophone. There are 28 cabins located on the Upper Deck and 50 cabins on the Main Deck. Delicious food served on board with an extensive buffet breakfast, with lunch and dinner with a French inspiration. There is also a fine wine menu available on board.
THE MS BELLE DE CADIX
Built in 2005 the MS Belle de Cadix provides luxurious modern accommodation and facilities for 178 passengers, with even an onboard swimming pool to be found on the Sun Deck. Of the 89 cabins, 40 double cabins can be found on the Upper Deck, 27 on the Middle Deck and 22 on the Main Deck. All are fully equipped with en-suite facilities, shower, hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, safe, central heating/air conditioning, 220v electricity, radiophone and TV/video in the lounge. Delicious food served on board includes an extensive buffet breakfast and lunch and dinner of French inspiration. There is also a fine wine menu available on board. The impressive and modern on-board facilities include a lounge bar with dance floor, panorama bar, dining room seating 178, gift shop, lift, a large sun deck with deckchairs, swimming pool and a marina at the rear of the vessel with direct access to the sea.
MS FERNAO DE MAGALHAES
Built in 2003 the MS Fernão de Magalhães provides modern, superbly appointed accommodation and facilities for 142 passengers, including a swimming pool on the Sun Deck. Of the 71 cabins, 38 double cabins can be found on the Upper Deck, 18 on the Middle Deck and 15 on the Main Deck. All are fully equipped with en-suite facilities, shower, hairdryer, satellite TV radio, safe, central heating/air conditioning, 220v electricity and radiophone.Delicious food served on board includes an extensive buffet breakfast and lunch and dinner of French inspiration. There is also a fine wine menu available on board. THE VIKING SCHUMANN
In partnership with Viking River Cruises Shearings are proud to present the Elegant Elbe Cruise in 2010. Due to sail on the Viking Schumann, designed with your comfort in mind and features stylish Scandinavian-style interiors, renovated in 2009. All the amenities of a fine hotel can be found on board and you will be well looked after during your cruise by the English speaking crew. All staterooms are outward facing with river views and have private facilities including bathroom with shower, TV, phone, hairdryer, individual climate control and 220v electricity. On board delicious food waits including sumptuous breakfasts, mouth-watering lunches and dinners. All menus are created by European Chefs and incorporate regional specialities. Superb facilities include a restaurant, lounge and bar with panoramic windows, sauna, sun deck, laundry service, free wireless internet and a chairlift to all passenger decks.
VIKING PAKHOMOV/VIKING PETERHOF
In partnership with Viking River Cruises Shearings are proud to present The Waterways of the Tsars Cruise in 2010. Operated by one of two ships offering a traditional river cruise experience in Russia. Viking Pakhomov, refurbished in 2003 and Viking Peterhof, refurbished in 2007. Both have 5 decks capable of ccommodating
212/189 passengers respectively, the ships offer everything you would expect, and more, in terms of facilities. These include two fabulous restaurants, two comfortable bars, a sun deck, three promenade decks, library, souvenir shop, sauna, hairdresser, free wireless internet, laundry service, medical centre and 220v electricity. On board you will enjoy a buffet breakfast, a light lunch and 5-course dinner. Entertainment most nights includes regional performances during your visits. All cabins are spacious, outward facing and feature a bathroom, shower and air conditioning/central heating.
VIKING LOMONOSOV
This ocean-class ship is designed for the rugged waters of the Black Sea and the Dnieper River on which it sails. Each ship features an Englishspeaking crew. There is a choice of two onboard restaurants with panoramic views for an exquisite, fine-dining experience. Two bars and an observation lounge with panoramic windows await you. On board the Viking Lomonosov you will find a host of facilities and services including a Doctor and hairdresser, laundry service, free wireless internet, and a library. To top it all there is a spacious sun deck with 360-degree views. All 112 outside staterooms are complete with river view and windows that open, individual climate control, voltage: 220V, private bathroom and shower. Deluxe Staterooms have hotel-style beds. VIKING CENTURY SUN
Viking Century Sun, a 5-star ship, and her identical sister Viking Century Sky, were built for the discerning traveller and are the newest, most deluxe ships cruising the Yangtze. They feature all the amenities of a fine hotel and an attentive, English-speaking staff, a full Western equipped kitchen, and Viking River Cruises own European management directly overseeing your onboard food and service. The Viking Princess is a 5 star, 4 deck cruise ship, recently renovated and offering comfortable accommodation to give you a wonderful Nile Cruise experience. The emphasis on board is very much on creating an intimate and friendly ambience with spacious interiors and classical furnishings. All meals are served in the main restaurant situated on the middle deck. There is a lounge bar on the upper deck with a large sun deck with pool and bar with sunbeds and chairs in a canopied area. All 58 outward facing cabins give you the best views of the Nile and measure 16 square metres. Cabin facilities include private bathroom, hairdryer, fridge, safety deposit box and TV (local channels).
LORD OF THE GLENS
Lord of the Glens has rich mahogany interiors, a teak-clad promenade and viewing decks that give the ship the ambience of a luxury yacht. On-board facilities include the elegant Robert Louis Stevenson restaurant with large windows offering fantastic views, the Sir Walter Scott lounge and the David Livingstone lounge bar, where you can relax with a refreshing drink. The 27 luxury cabins are all outside facing, tastefully finished and equipped with ensuite facilities and shower, individually controlled air-conditioning/heating, satellite television, music system, hairdryer, telephone and safe. This coastal ship features observation lounges and a library and is perfect for viewing the magnificent Scottish landscape as you sail.
