Holiday Itinerary by Coach
Day 1 UK to Northern France
- Across to Calais and then onwards to our overnight hotel in Northern France in time for dinner.
Day 2 Northern France to Cologne - Today we join the MPS Rotterdam to start our Rhine & Moselle cruise, but first there’s the opportunity to explore one of Germany’s oldest cities. With its cafes, bars, shops, old town and gothic cathedral, Cologne is a special place for any visitor. Cochem
Day 3 Cologne – Königswinter – Andernach - A morning’s sail to Königswinter, a pretty summer retreat at the foot of the Siedengebirge, or seven mountains range, and home to Drachenfels Castle. Sailing south we then visit Andernach, one of the oldest towns in Germany, containing medieval remnants of the old town and a well-preserved castle.
Day 4 Andernach to Cochem - Known as the ‘Pearl of the Moselle’, Cochem is dominated by the fairytale 11th century Reichsburg Castle standing guard above the town and river.
Day 5 Cochem to Koblenz - Koblenz is situated at the confluence of the Rhine with the Moselle and marks the northern end of the Rhine Gorge, declared a World Heritage site in 2002.
Day 6 Koblenz to Rüdesheim - Heading south we stop at the popular resort of Rüdesheim, at the southern entrance to the Loreley valley, with its choice of restaurants, wine houses and open-air taverns to enjoy.
Day 7 Rüdesheim – Boppard - Linz - Today’s sail takes us to two of the prettiest places on the whole trip. Our first port of call is an ancient fortress town known as the ‘Pearl of the Rhine’, which has an unspoilt promenade alongside the river, while the charming city of Linz is decorated with colourful half-timbered houses.Lidenoff Bridge, Remagen
Day 8 Linz – Remagen – Bonn - Cologne - Two more treats today include Remagen, which you may know for the Ludenorff Bridge and the movie ‘A Bridge Too Far’; and Bonn, the birthplace of Beethoven, with its well-kept botanic gardens and palace.
Day 9 Cologne to Northern France - Our final cruise day, ready to disembark and make the journey by coach to our overnight hotel in Northern France.
Day 10 Northern France to UK - We set off for Calais, to Dover, and then home.

Holiday Itinerary by Rail
Day 1 London St Pancras to Cologne
- We meet at St Pancras station and join the Eurostar service to Brussels. At Brussels we change trains and join the Thalys service onwards to Cologne. We then make the short transfer to join our ship the MPS Rotterdam.
Days 2 to 7 Cruising - As per Holiday itinerary by Coach days 3 to 8.
Day 8 Cologne to London St Pancras - Our journeys end and time to take the short transfer to Cologne station to join the Thalys service to Brussels. At Brussels we change on to the Eurostar service to London St Pancras.

Travel by Rail is based on standard class travel. Upgrades to leisure select on Eurostar and onwards in First Class on the Thalys, upgrade from £90 per person one way.

Holiday Itinerary by Air
Day 1 UK to Cologne/Dusseldorf
- Flight to Cologne or Dusseldorf where you will be met by a representative and transferred to the MPS Rotterdam. You can relax on board or explore Cologne.
Days 2 to 7 Cruising - As per Holiday itinerary by Coach days 3 to 8.
Day 8 Cologne/Dusseldorf to UK - Transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK.

Flight departures. Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Southampton

By coach - whats included
