Holiday itinerary
Day 1 Dover to Calais, then on to Reims for our overnight hotel.
Day 2 We drive into Italy past some beautiful countryside to reach Baveno in time for dinner.
Days 3 to 8 A chance to relax in your picturesque resort and enjoy some of the surrounding area’s best sights on our included excursions.
Day 9 We head back north into France for our overnight hotel.
Day 10 Calais, Dover, then home.

Included excursions 
Lake Como - Possibly the most dramatic of the Italian lakes, the narrow fjord-like Lake Como is surrounded by high mountains that plunge into its deep blue waters below. It was also described by Wordsworth as a ‘treasure, which the earth kept to itself’ and you’ll understand why on this chance to explore the lake, its pretty villages and spectacular scenery.
Arona and Lake Orta - Lake Orta is one of Italy’s smallest lakes and has a picturesque ancient village known as ‘Venice without water’, where narrow cobbled streets sit between quaint pastel coloured houses and elaborate palaces. Arona, at the southern end of the lake, is a popular tourist town that boasts castle ruins and a huge statue of St Charles Borromeo - the second largest bronze statue in the world, after the Statue of Liberty.

Hotel Beau Rivage, Baveno
The Hotel Beau Rivage is situated on Baveno’s tree-lined promenade across the road from the lake and offers wonderful views of the nearby Borromean Islands. Close to town, it also offers a spacious bar and lounge overlooking the lake and a pleasant terraced garden.
