Holiday itinerary
Day 1 UK to Reims - To Dover for the crossing to Calais, the onto our overnight hotel in Reims.
Day 2 Reims to Como town area - Today we travel across the rolling fields of Northern France and into Italy for a night on the shores of beautiful Lake Como. (B,D)
Day 3 Lake Como to Montecatini - We continue through Italy to Renaissance capital of Florence then onwards for a 2 night stay at the impressive 4* Grand Hotel Plaza, Montecatini. (B,D)
Day 4 Montecatini - Relax at leisure in charming Montetatini, a pretty spa town set amid rolling hills. You may wish to join our full day optional excursion to Pisa and lovey Lucca, birthplace of Puccini. (B,D)
Day 5 Montecatini to Rome - A lunchtime arrival in the "Eternal City" with free time to explore the countless famous sights of the most romantic of cities. Enjoy the spellbinding beauty of Rome by night, with our optional guided tour. We stay at the 4* Cardinal St Peter Hotel. (B,D)
Day 6 Rome to Sorrento - Heading south via Pompeii, the legendary town frozen in time. (Please note that an entrance fee to the site is payable). We drive to the Sorrentine Peninsula for a stay at the 4* Hotel Corallo in the Sant'Agnello area. (B,D)
Day 7 Sorrento/Capri - A full day included excursion takes you by boat to the enchanting Isle of Capri. Shop in they stylish botiques of admire spectacular views. This evening we enjoy a lively Neapolitan show. (B,D)
Day 8 Sorrento - Explore this lively town at your own pace, or join our optional scenic drive along the stunning Amalfi Coast. (B,D)
Day 9 Sorrento to Orvieto - We head north via Montecassino Abbey and war graves to the town of Spoleto. We relax for two nights at the charming 4* Hotel Clitunno. (B,D)
Day 10 Spoleto - A chance to explore this beautiful old town further or join our optional excursion to Assisi. (B,D)
Day 11 Spoleto to Tabiano - Northwards to Parma for an optional guided walking tour of the city, before heading on to Tabiano, for a night at the 4* Hotel Ducale. (B,D)
Day 12 Tabiano to Mulhouse - Continuing north, we head to the medieval town of Mulhouse for an overnight stay, via the Gothard Pass (weather permitting) and lovely Stresa, on the shores of Lake Maggiore. (B,D)
Day 13 Mulhouse to Northern France - We cross the border back into France today for our final overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 14 Northern France to UK - To Calais for the crossing to Dover then home. (B)
