Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 UK to Brussels - Relax aboard your Grand Tourer coach as we cross to Calais then head to Brussels for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Brussels to Berlin - Today we begin our Grand Tour of Germany in earnest, heading east tothe country's  cosmopolitan capital, Berlin. We spend three nights here, staying at the 4* Park Inn Alexanderplatz Hotel, which is centrally located and within easy reach of all the main attractions. (B,D)
Day 3 Berlin - A guided city tour in the morning introduces you to some of the main sights of this fascinating city, including the Brandenburg Gate, the Kurfürstendamm, the Reichstag and Checkpoint Charlie. (B,D)
Day 4 Berlin - A free day to explore further at your own pace. If you prefer, you can join our optional excursion to Potsdam, summer residence of the Prussian Royal family, with the chance to explore its collection of beautiful palaces, parks and gardens. The highlight is undoubtedly the Park Sanssouci, Frederick the Great's retreat, with its imposing castle towering over the city, Orangery and perfectly landscaped gardens. (B,D)
Day 5 Berlin to Dresden - Our Grand Tour takes us to Leipzig, perhaps best known as home to St Thomas Church where legendary composer Johann Sebastian Bach was choirmaster . Leipzig was also home to the peaceful mass demonstrations that ultimately led to the reunification of Germany. We then travel to infamous Colditz Castle, set high on a clifftop and renowned for its role as a maximum security prisoner of war camp during the second World War. Onwards then to Dresden, where we enjoy two nights at the 4* Ramada Resident Hotel.Dresden (B,D)
Day 6 Dresden - A morning optional guided tour is available of this rebuilt city, much of which was damaged by bombs during the Second World War, but meticulous restoration has resulted in the wonderful city you see today. (B,D)
Day 7 Dresden to Kassel - Heading west, we visit historical Erfurt, a delightful old city situated at the very centre of Germany, and the capital of the Thuringia region. We then continue to the Kassel area where we spend the night at the 4* Ramada Hotel. (B,D)
Day 8 Kassel to Brussels - Today we travel to the beautiful Mohne Dam, which was the target of the Second World War Dambusters raid. We then return into Belgium, where we enjoy dinner at our overnight hotel. (B,D)
Day 9 Brussels to UK - We head to the French coast, enjoy our voyage accross to Dover from Calais and then home. (B)
