Holiday itinerary
Day 1 UK to Brussels - Across to Calais, then Brussels and our overnight hotel.
Day 2 Brussels to Berlin - We head east and into Germany to the historic capital for three nights at the 4* Holiday Inn City Centre East. Re-united since 1989 with the fall of the Wall, Berlin is a thriving city full of living history, and is a delight to explore. Reichstag, Berlin(B,D)
Day 3 Berlin - A chance to explore Berlin. The iconic Brandenburg Gate, infamous Checkpoint Charlie, the Reichstag German parliament building and the upmarket Kurfürstendamm shopping area are just some of the highlights. A half-day guided city tour is included. (B,D)
Day 4 Berlin - Enjoy a day at leisure in Berlin to explore at your own pace. (B,D)
Day 5 Berlin to Stralsund - We journey north to reach the wonderful Mecklenburg lake district, the largest area of lakeland in Europe, passing by the medieval town of Neubrandenburg.  Continuing northwards, in the afternoon we arrive at the Hanseatic city of Stralsund, for our three night stay at the 3* Hotel Stralsund, located just a short drive for the centre.  With its UNESCO World Heritage Site old town, imposing churches, red brick gothic houses, market square and lovely waterside bars and restaurants, it’s easy to see why Stalsund is so popular with tourists. An optional walking tour of Straslund is available.  (B,D)
Days 6 Rügen Island - Full day optional excursion to Rügen island, linked by bridge to Stralsund, definately one of Germany’s hidden gems. The beautiful pier at Sellin is a sight to behold. We also visit the chalk cliffs in the Jasmund National Park (entrance fee payable locally), and the delightful resort of Binz. (B,D)
Day 7 Stralsund - A chance to relax and enjoy this beautiful city. Why not relax in one of the many pavement cafes in the historic heart of the city?  We also offer an optional excursion to Usedom Island and Peenemunde. (B,D) 
Day 8 Stralsund to Hamburg - We head west to visit the beautiful hanseatic town of Lübeck, then onwards for a night in Germany’s second largest city, Hamburg, at the Ramada Bergedorf Hotel, located just outside the city.  Hamburg offers a rich maritime history, stunning architecture, and a lively atmosphere, with over 2,000 bridges – more than Venice and Amsterdam combined! (B,D)
Day 9 Hamburg to Brussels - To Belgium for dinner and our overnight hotel. (B,D)
Day 10 Brussels to UK - Calais to Dover ferry, then home. (B)
