Day 1 UK to Northern France - Across to Calais, then into Northern France for dinner at our overnight hotel. (D)
Day 2 Northern France to Montrichard - A stop in Paris before heading to our base for the week, Montrichard. (B,D)
Days 3 to 6 Montrichard - The start of your holiday in this ancient medieval town on the banks of the River Cher, with its pavement cafes serving petit nois and grand cremes. (B,D)
Day 7 Montrichard to Northern France - Stopping in Orleans to see the wonderful cathedral en route to the overnight hotel. (B,D)
Day 8 Northern France to UK - Calais, Dover, then home. (B)

Included Excursions
Full Day Châteaux and Gardens of the Loire - A visit to the magnificent and romantic Chenonceau Château, famed for its gallery built like a bridge across the gently flowing River Cher below and with an equally spectacular interior.  This is followed by a trip to the 16th century château at Villandry, with its formal style Renaissance gardens are laid out in colourful geometric patterns full of shrubs, flowers and fruit trees.
Full Day Loire Valley Tour - A drive along the scenic River Loire takes us to Saumur, overlooked by an imposing fairy-tale château with its four towers rising high above the town. The town is known for being home to the National Riding School and elite Cadre Noir cavarly regiment, as well as being surrounded by one of the oldest vineyards in France, so the chance to sample some excellent white wines not to be missed.

Hotel Bellevue, Montrichard
The hotel Bellevue has a stunning position in the heart of medieval Montrichard at the foot of the 11th-century castle ruins, with glorious view over the River Cher.  All the bars, restaurants, shops and cafés are within walking distance, whilst the river's promenade is perfect for a relaxing walk.
