Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 UK to Northern France - Dover, Calais, then an overnigth stay in Northern France.
Day 2 Northern France to Kehl Kork - Travelling through Belgium and Luxembourg into Germany for our overnight stay at the 3* Hotel Zum Hirsch.
Day 3 Kehl Kork to Tiefencastel - We set off through the beautiful Black Forest for a stop at the famous Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen before continuing into the Swiss Alps to the typically Swiss village of Tiefencastel near St Moritz for a two nights at the 3* Hotel Albula & Julier. This friendly hotel offers comfortable and well-equipped rooms.
Day 4 Tiefencastel - Enjoy time at leisure in the village of Tiefencastel, situated close to the mountain passes of Albula and Julier. An optional excursion to elegant St Moritz and a ride on the Bernina Express, which takes you high into the Alps through wild gorges and close to stunning glaciers, is offered.
Day 5 Täsch and The Glacier Express - A real highlight of this trip, today you will depart on the Glacier Express for the trip of a lifetime. Travelling across the Alps over 6,700ft high Oberalp Pass, you'll be surrounded by the jaw-dropping scenery you will enjoy from the comfort of your seat. We disembark in Andermatt and continue by coach to the montain village of Täsch, where we stay for two nightst at the 3* Hotel Walliserhof.
Day 6 Zermatt - A short journey by train takes us to the stylish mountain resort of Zermatt, overlooked by the mighty Matterhorn, with its traffic free centre where only horse drawn carriages and electric cars permitted. An optional trip on the Gornergrat cog railway offers truly spectacular views. Lake Thun
Day 7 Täsch to Därligen - Descending down to Lake Geneva and Montreux, where you will have time to  browse the shops, we then head to the peaceful village of Därligen on the shores of Lake Thun for four nights at the 3* Hotel du Lac (or similar). Surrounded by mountain peaks and situated right on the lakeside, the hotel is close to a boat landing and has its own outdoor swimming pool.
Day 8 Lucerne - An included excursion through the Emmental Valley to the popular lakeside resort of Lucerne, which offers a lovely mix of medieval towers, cobbled squares and peaceful promenades where you can wander along the water's edge.
Day 9 Interlaken - A free transfer to nearby Interlaken, set between two lovely lakes, is offered. The pretty town has a huge main  promenade, the ‘Höheweg’, lined with huge open meadows, shops, tea rooms and cosy cafés. An optional excursion can be joined to the Jungfraujoch, the "Top of Europe".
Day 10 Berne - Today's included excursion takes us to the capital city of Berne, with an opportunity to explore at your leisure or enjoy a guided tour around the charming old town.
Day 11 Därligen to Northern France - To France's Champagne region for our overnight stay.
Day 12 Northern France to UK - Calais, Dover, then home.
