Holiday itinerary
Day 1 To Dover, across to Calais, and on to our overnight hotel.
Day 2 Through Germany, and in to Austria to our overnight in Salzburg at the Schaffenrath Hotel (4*).
Day 3 From Salzburg we head to Opatija, and the Hotel Istra for our seven night stay (3*).
Days 4 to 9 At leisure in Opatija, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the elegant ambience, stunning marina, and beautiful cenery it has to offer.
Day 10 Into Germany and to Niefern for our overnight stop at the Queens Hotel (3*).
Day 11 Into France for our overnight stop.
Day 12 To Calais, across to Dover then home.

Included excursions
Full day Krk Island - Linked to the Croatian mainland by bridge, Krk Island is perfectly situated in the tranquil waters of the adriatic. We visit the towns of Krk and Baska.
Full day Plitvice Lakes - Plitvice’s sixteen lakes are considered to be amongst the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world. Connected by waterfalls cascading through picturesque surroundings, the lakes were declared a national park in 1949, making them Croatia’s oldest National Park.
Full day Zagreb - We travel to the ancient capital of Croatia, Zagreb. The high town is home to the Presidential Palace, the Parliament buildings, and wonderful old winding streets which are a pleasure to explore. The lower part of town is somewhat more modern, and is home to an array of shops and restaurants.

The welcoming Hotel Istra is situated right by the sea, very close to the main Lungomare promenade, the pretty marina, and just 300 yards from the resort centre with its many bars, cafés, and shops, and so is perfectly placed to make the most of the wonderful resort of Opatija.
