Holiday itinerary
Day 1 UK to Bruges Dover, Calais, then into Belgium and Bruges.
Days 2 to 4 Bruges A chance for a few days’ exploration of this wonderfully historic city, known as the ‘Venice of
the North’ thanks to its canals and bars, cafes and restaurants that open out onto bustling squares. This perfectly preserved medieval city has numerous sights to see, including the World Heritage Site city centre, museums and the Lake of Love. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Bruges to UK Calais, Dover, then home. (B)

Included excursions
Half Day to Ypres visit to the border town of Ypres, best known as the site of dramatic World War I battles and
where many British soldiers fought and died. It is now home to the Menin Gate, placed there in honour of those who perished with no known graves and each evening the Last Post is sounded. (Luch is provided instead of dinner on this day to allow the ceremony to be fitted in).
Half Day to Ghent A visit to the historic heart of Flanders and a charming city where a mixture of the French and Flemish is elegantly combined
