Holiday itinerary
Day 1 UK to Paris - Dover, Calais, then Paris for our overnight stay.
Day 2 Paris to Lake Garda - A journey on the TGV train to Milan, before a coach trip southwards to reach Lake Garda for dinner and four nights at the 4* Hotel Parchi del Garda in Pacengo del Garda, a FREE welcome drink greets us on arrival!
Day 3 Lake Garda - A spectacular introduction to Italy’s largest lake enjoying a scenic full day lake tour around the circumference of the Lake Garda. Photo opportunities along the way as the scenery changes from the flat landscapes of the southern lake to the striking mountain backdrop of the north lake.
Day 4 The Dolomites - A change of scenery today as we discover the Dolomites. We explore this awe inspiring mountain range with spectacular craggy mountain tops, twists and turns.
Day 5 Verona - A chance to visit the home of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, where the must-see sights include the main square dominated by the huge Roman amphitheatre and Juliet’s legendary balcony.
Day 6 Lake Garda to Lake Maggiore via Lake Orta - We depart Lake Garda and travel northwards to discover more gems of this region. Lake Orta, locally known as "Venice without the Water" is our next location & here narrow cobbled streets run between pastel washed houses. We continue to Stresa on Lake Maggiore for an early afternoon arrival at the 4* Hotel Milan Speranza.
Day 7 Lake Maggiore - Today we discover some of the most scenic areas of Lake Maggiore including crossing the border into Swiss based Locarno, and the pretty towns of Ascona & Canobbio.
Day 8 Lake Lugano & Lake Como - Explore two further lakes as we travel to Lake Lugano & to striking Lake Como. Lake Como particularly is an area of outstanding beauty with a colourful shoreline punctuated by tiny ports and vibrant villages.
Day 9 Milan to Paris - A morning transfer to Milan station for the TGV train back to Paris, passing through the spectacular scenery of the Alps. From Paris a further transfer to your overnight hotel in Northern France.
Day 10 Northern France to UK - Calais, Dover, then home.
