Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach then to the Paris area for a three or four-night stay.
Day 2 Paris and Paris by Night - Included full day in Paris. Our optional guided sightseeing tour is the best way to see the major sights such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde and the Cathedral of Notre Dame. For a different view of the city, we recommend our optional narrated River Seine cruise. In the evening, our optional 'Paris by Night' tour includes a meal plus a visit to Montparnasse Tower, one of Europe's tallest skyscrapers, from where you will get the most beautiful views of Paris stretching out before you. Day 3 Versailles and Monet's Garden - Included excursion beginning at the impressive Chateau and Gardens of Versailles, (admission to chateau is extra - approximately €15-20 per person). Next, we visit the home and gardens of Claude Monet at Giverney in Normandy. The artist lived here from 1883 until his death in 1926 and house and gardens, made famous by his 'Water Lilies' paintings, have been restored to Monet's original design, the gardens being considered by many to be his greatest work. Planned out meticulosly so that a different colour would dominate every month, the beautiful shades and shapes ensure the gardens are a delight at any time of year. (B)
Day 4 Fontainebleay and Vaux Le Vicomte (5-day tour only) - Included excursion to two splendid chateaux (with entrance included). Firstly we visit the Chateau de Fontainebleay. Delightfully situated in the heart of a beautiful forest and surrounded by an impressive garden, this was once a hunting residence of the former French monarch. The gardens contain an array of different styles and have been influenced by many people. We also visit the Chateau de Vaux-Le-Vicombe, created by French masters, including architect and landscape gardener Andre Le Notre. (B)
Day 4 (4-day break) or Day 5 (5-day break) To Calais then return home. (B)

You'll stay for three or four nights at the 4-star Hotel Inn Paris-Versailles-Bougival, located on the western outskirts of Paris. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, hairdryer and air-conditioning.
