Excursions and Visits
Monaco and Monte Carlo (optional). In the morning we visit Monaco – its eight square miles form the smallest, and probably wealthiest, sovereign state in the world. It also has one of the few autocratic monarchies left in the world. The afternoon is at leisure in probably the most famous part of Monaco, Monte Carlo. Take your chance in the Grand Casino, with its lavish interiors decorated in the striking Belle Epoque style.
Santa Margherita and Portofino or Alassio (optional). The coastal resort of Santa Margherita is centred around its Marina. A short boat trip around the headland (weather permitting) brings us to the exclusive cove of Portofino where celebrities’ yachts often moor for the night. If the weather prevents the boat trip from operating, then we will visit the seaside resort of Alassio on the return journey instead.
Cervo (included). A lovely half-day excursion to the hill-top village of Cervo. This medieval village remains well preserved with many of its ramparts and old buildings still intact. The majestic church of San Giovanni Battista dominates the village and is one of the most important examples of Baroque architecture in Liguria.
Ventimiglia Market and San Remo (optional). Enjoy a full day exploring the Riviera dei Fiori, with firstly a visit to
Ventimiglia, the last town before reaching the French border. The town plays host to a popular street market, which takes  place every Friday and runs parallel to the River Roia and the Mediterranean. Shop for that perfect souvenir, before we head inland for winetasting. We later continue to San Remo, with its smart harbour, lined with yachts, and its wide, palm-lined
promenade.

Your hotel
You’ll stay for six nights at the 3-star Hotel Iva. Situated in a residential area overlooking Diano Marina. The Barla family ensure a warm welcome to all of our guests. This charming hotel has a lift, large lounge, dining room, sun terrace and swimming pool. The hotel is close to the beach and town. All bedrooms have T.V., hairdryer, safe and telephone. The hotel also has an annexe located across the road where the rooms are situated on two levels only. There is no lift in the annexe.
