Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland and on to Monaghan for a four-night stay.
Day 2 County Down - Our included excursion begins in Hillsborough, famed for its castle, an official government residence, before continuing to Newcastle, where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea. This afternoon we visit the town of Downpatrick, where in the grounds of Down Cathedral lies a grave reputed to be that of St. Patrick. (B,D)
Day 3 Belfast - Enjoy our optonal excursion to Belfast. Don't miss City Hall, and no visit to Belfast is complete without a drop of the black stuff in the Crown Liquor Sallon. (B,D)
Day 4 Giant's Causeway and Derry - A day of fantastic scenery on our included excursion, as we head off to the world-famous Giant's Causeway (entrance extra) with its basalt columns and tales of Irish giants. Our day continues with a visit to the fascinating walled town of Derry. (B,D)
Day 5 Dublin - We leave Monaghan and travel to Dublin where you have some free time. join our optional sightseeing tour, seeing the best of this splendid city including Trinity College, St. Patricks Cathedral, National Gallery and the Four Courts. (B)
Day 6 To Dublin/Dun Laoghaire for the ferry to Holyhead then continue our journey home. (B*)
Included Meals: B=Breakfast, D=Dinner * Due to departure time, breakfast on day 6 may be on the ferry.

Your hotels
You'll stay for four nights at the 4-star Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and lounge. Leisure facilities include sauna, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. All bedrooms have T.V., hairdryer, trouser press, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Overnight stay in Dublin area will be in a 3-star city style hotel.
