Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Berlin - To Berlin for an overnight stay. Join our optional evening sightseeing tour to see all the major sights in Berlin’s historical centre, including the cathedral, Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Wall. (B)
Day 3 To Warsaw, Poland for a two-night stay. (B,D)
Day 4 Warsaw sightseeing - Our included tour of this cultural capital includes the ‘Royal Route’ with its aristocratic residences, the Old Town, the Ghetto Memorial and the Belvedere Palace. Our local guide will reveal many of the stories  behind the often tragic history of this fascinating city that was all but destroyed during WWII. (B,D)
Day 5 To Brest and for lunch, then Minsk, Belarus for an overnight stay. (B,L,D)
Day 6 To Smolensk for lunch and later to Moscow, Russia, for a two-night stay. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Moscow sightseeing; The Kremlin - Discover the vibrant city of Moscow on our included guided sightseeing tour, visiting St. Basil’s Cathedral, Red Square, the Kremlin and Novodevichy Convent. You can also enjoy an optional visit inside the Kremlin. In the evening, our optional ‘Moscow by Night’ tour covers the city’s famous underground metro system. (B,D)
Day 8 To Tver for lunch, then to Novgorod for an overnight stay. (B,L,D)
Day 9 To St. Petersburg for a three-night stay. (B,D)
Day 10 St. Petersburg sightseeing - Our included guided tour will introduce the famous landmarks, history and culture of the city renouned as perhaps the most beautiful in Russia. St. Petersburg Ballet is classed as the birthplace of Russian classical ballet, and you can enjoy an optional evening at one of the famed St. Petersburg ballet theatres. (B,D)
Day 11 St. Petersburg boat cruise - Free day or join our optional boat cruise along the Neva Rive with a traditional Russian show on board, with dancing and singing. Included in the price is Russian sparkling wine, vodka, caviar and fruit. (B,D)
Day 12 Helsinki - To Helsinki. Surrounded by 315 islands has an east-meets-west culture combining 450 years of history and wonderful natural surroundings. Overnight ferry to Stockholm, Sweden. (B)
Day 13 Stockholm - Arrive in Stockholm. Enjoy an included introductory tour of one of the world's most beautiful capitals. It is built on 14 islands and its buildings, greenery and proximity to the water create a stunning setting. We later head across Sweden to Denmark and Copenhagen for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 14 Copenhagen - Copenhagen has many fascinating landmarks and architectural masterpieces. Our optional guided sightseeing tour will see the Tivoli Gardens, the Rosenborg Palace, and the ‘Little Mermaid’. We then travel to northern Germany via Rodbyhavn/Puttgarden ferry for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 15 To Belgium for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 16 To Calais then return home. (B)

Your hotels
You’ll spend one night at the 3-star H2 Alexanderplatz Hotel or similar in Berlin; two nights at the 3-star Hotel Gromada or similar in Warsaw; overnight at the 3-star Hotel Planeta or similar, Minsk; two nights at the 3-star Hotel Cosmos or similar in Moscow; overnight at the 3-star Hotel Beresta Palace or similar, Novgorod; three nights at the 3-star Hotel Pribaltiskaya or similar in St. Petersburg; overnight on the cruise ferry to Stockholm in a 2-berth cabin; and two nights at the 3-star Glostrup Park, Copenhagen.  Overnight stays in northern Germany and Belgium are in city-style hotels.

VISA – IMPORTANT NOTE
Visas are required for entry into Russia and Belarus, for which an extra charge is made.  Details of how to apply will be sent to you 12 weeks prior to departure. Your passport will need to be sent with your visa applications, which may take up to six weeks to process.
