Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach, then travel onwards to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Rüdesheim - Included visit to Rüdesheim with its lively Drosselgasse, a narrow street with shops and cosy cafes then to Assmannshausen for a two-night stay. (B,D)
Day 3 Rhine Valley - Included excursion along the Rhine Valley. Marvel at the superb medieval castles and vineyards; the world-famous Loreley Rock; Boppard with its splendid Rhine promenade and St. Goar. The perfect way to view the Rhine is from the water on our optional cruise through the Rhine Gorge, famous for its many ancient castles, picturesque villages and vine-clad slopes. (B,D)
Day 4 Romantic Road - Leaving the Rhine Valley we travel along the scenic Romantic Road visiting the charming medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, past Nordlingen then onto Austria for a three-night stay. (B,D)
Day 5 Neuschwanstein - Included visit the village of Hohenschwangau and King Ludwig II’s famous Neuschwanstein Castle. We later visit Linderhof Castle (entrance fee not included).  Please note: at Neuschwanstein there is a degree of walking involved, as well as a number of steps to climb. (B,D)
Day 6 Chiemsee - Optional excursion to Herrenchiemsee, located on an island in Chiemsee Lake and the largest and most expensive castle built by Ludwig II. We drive to the lakeside town of Prien, then take a boat across to Herren Island, before our stroll through the woods to the castle. The castle’s splendid interior and hall of mirrors are truly inspiring. (B,D)
Day 7 Lake Titisee - We head for an overnight stay in the Black Forest, spending time en-route in the beautiful lakeside resort of Titisee. (B,D)
Day 8 Black Forest Scenic Drive - We journey through more of the delightful Black Forest, where traditional timbered buildings blend into the beautiful rolling landscape of wooded hills and green meadows, spending time in the charming town of Triberg, and later Freudenstadt. Continue to Belgium for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 9 To Calais then return home. (B)

Your hotels
You’ll stay for two nights at the well-appointed, traditional 3-star Hotel Alte Bauernschänke, or similar, in charming Assmannshausen in the Rhine Valley.  The hotel has been welcoming Leger guests for many years and is typically ‘Rhineland’ in style, with an atmosphere to match, and the original building is 600 years old and there is entertainment most evenings, a lift, a restaurant, large bar area and recentyly opened 'state of the art' wellness centre including sauna, steam-bath, massage, beautician and relaxation area. All bedrooms have TV., telephone and safe. In Austria, you will stay for three nights at the 4-star Hotel Zum Mohren in Reutte. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift and indoor pool.  All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone. Our overnight stay in the Black Forest will be in a 3-star standard hotel, and in Belgium will be in city-style hotels.
