Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach then onwards to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Continue south to Austria for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 3 Continue to Krk for a seven-night stay. (B,D)
Day 4 Krk Island Tour - We explore the beauty of the largest island of the Adriatic on our optional excursion. First we go by boat to the small islet of Kosljun, where we visit the Franciscan monastery, then we visit Krk  strolling through the old town, with its ramparts, Frankopan Castle and Cathedral. Later we visit Vrbnik, most famous for its white wine. (B,D)
Day 5 Rijeka and Opatija - Today's included excursion takes us first to Rijeka, a charming town with an historic port, then to Opatija, also known as ‘the Croatian Nice’. Here you can take a walk along the seaside, ‘lungomare’, and visit the Botanical Garden. (B,D)
Day 6 Island Coastal Cruise - A full-day optional tour by boat to one of the Kvarner Islands, a great opportunity to enjoy the sun and bathe in the crystal-clear sea. Lunch is served on board. (B,D)
Day 7 A free day to relax. (B,D)
Day 8 Zagreb - Included excursion to Zagreb, Croatia's capital, and a charming medieval city of exceptional beauty. Our included guided sightseeing tour takes in the highlights, including the Upper and Lower town, the majestic Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, the Tower of Lotrscak, St. Mark’s Church and the Opera House. (B,D)
Day 9 Biserujka Cave - Free day or optional visit to the caves with their rich galleries filled with stalactites and stalagmites. (B,D)
Day 10 To northern Italy for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 11 Travel to northern France for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 12 Travel to Calais then return home.(B)

Your hotels
Your seven nights in Krk will be at the 3-star Hotel Jadran, situated on the beach near the town centre of Njivice. The hotel has a café-bar and T.V. lounge, and its restaurant has sea views. All rooms are air-conditioned and have T.V. and telephone. Departures in May will stay at the sister hotel, the 3-star Beli Kamik in Njivice, located by an oak forest approx 150 metres from the sea. Overnight stays in Belgium, northern Italy and northern France will be in city-style hotels and in a 3-star standard hotel in the Salzburgerland or Carinthia region of Austria.
