Your holiday itinerary
7-Day Tour
Day 1 Local departure by coach, then travel onwards overnight to Italy.
Day 2 Afternoon arrival in Fiuggi, near Rome, for a four-night stay.
Day 3 Pompeii and Montecassino - Join us for an included excursion, first to the abbey of Montecassino, destroyed during WWII then rebuilt. We then continue to Pompeii where, in 79AD, the eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried the town in a suffocating layer of stones and ash (entrance at additional cost). To get the most from your visit why not join our optional guided sightseeing tour? (B)
Day 4 Rome - Included excursion to the ‘eternal city’. Join our optional guided sightseeing tour by coach and on foot to see the city’s spectacular sites, including the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. (B)
Day 5 Sorrento or Capri with guided tour - Optional excursion to Sorrento, one of the most popular resorts on the Neapolitan Riviera. Alternatively, you can join our optional visit to the magical Isle of Capri with a guided tour visiting the Piazza Umberto and the gardens of Augustus, which overlook the Faraglioni Rocks. (B)
Day 6 Free time before leaving before leaving for the overnight journey north. (B)
Day 7 Arrive in Calais and return home.

9 Day-Extra Leisure Tour
Our this option you stay for two nights extra in Fiuggi with continental breakfast each day and the following additional included and optional excursion.
Rome; Vatican and the Sistine Chaped Tour - Another visit to Rome, giving you the chance to join our optional Vatican and the Sistine Chapel tour. Escorted by a local guide, you will see the awe-inspiring frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, including Michelangelo’s famous chapel ceiling.
Castel Gandolfo and Frascati - Join our optional excursion to the small town of Castel Gandolfo, overlooking Lake Albano (the Pope's summer residence). Here you can enjoy a stroll around the charming streets before we travel to the attractive, historic hill-town of Frascati., famous for its wine. Head for one of the town's many 'catine' where wine is sold by the litre from giant wooden barrels.

Your hotels
You’ll stay for four or six nights in Fiuggi, a delightful spa town south of Rome, at a 3-star hotel such as the Hotel Holiday or Hotel Iris. The hotel will have a bar and restaurant. All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
