Your holiday at a glance
7-Day Tour
Day 1 Local departure by coach, then travel onwards overnight to Italy.
Day 2 Afternoon arrival in Fiuggi, near Rome, for a four-night stay.
Day 3 Pompeii and Montecassino. B

Day 5 Sorrento or Capri with guided tour. B
Day 6 Free time before leaving before leaving for the overnight journey north. B
Day 7 Arrive in Calais and return home.

9 Day-Tour
Our 9-day "Extra Leisure" option gives you two extra days in Fiuggi to relax, do a little independent exploring, or join our extra included and optional excursions (see below).

Excursions and visits
Pompeii and Montecassino (included); Pompeii Guided Sightseeing (optional). Join us as we visit the monastery of Montecassino. It was destroyed during WWII then rebuilt. We then continue to Pompeii where, in 79AD, the eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried the town in a suffocating layer of stones and ash (entrance at additional cost). Join our optional guided sightseeing tour of Pompeii.
Rome (included); Guided Sightseeing (optional). Discover the ‘eternal city’ with some time at leisure and an optional guided sightseeing tour by coach and on foot to introduce the city’s spectacular sites. 
Sorrento (optional) or Capri with Guided Tour (optional).  We travel to Sorrento, one of the most popular resorts on the Neapolitan Riviera. Alternatively, you can join our optional visit to Capri. Visit the town’s main square, the ‘Piazza Umberto’, and the gardens of Augustus, which overlook the Faraglioni Rocks. A guided tour of the island is also included.
Rome (included); Vatican and the Sistine Chaped Tour (optional). (9-day tour only) Another visit to Rome, giving you the chance to join our optional Vatican and the Sistine Chapel tour. Escorted by a local guide, you will see the awe-inspiring frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, including Michelangelo’s famous chapel ceiling.
Castel Gandolfo and Frascati (optional). (9-day tour only) We pay a short visit to the small town of Castel Gandolfo (home of the Pope's summer residence), overlooking Lake Albano, where you can enjoy a stroll around the charming streets before we travel to the attractive, historic hill-town of Frascati. Dominated by the majestic Villa Aldobrandini, Frascati is famous for its wine. Head for one of the town's many "catine" where wine is sold by the litre from giant wooden barrels.

Your hotels
You’ll stay for four or six nights in Fiuggi, a delightful spa town south of Rome, at a 3-star hotel such as the Hotel Elma or Hotel Imperiale. The hotel will have a bar, restaurant and lift. All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone. Please note August 7th departure will stay at the Hotel Bassetto in Ferentino.
