9-day holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local  departure by coach then onward to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Continue to Prague for a two-night stay. (B,D)
Day 3 Prague - Included day in Prague, the elegant Czech capital. Our optional (included on Silver Service) guided walking tour introduces the splendid architecture of Prague Old Town, the world’s largest UNESCO site. You can also join an optional cruise along the majestic Vltava River taking you past spectacular views of the famous sights of the city. (B,D)
Day 4 Bratislava - We leave Prague and en route to Budapest for a two-night stay, make and included visit to Bratislava, with its exquisitely renovated centre of Baroque palaces, fountains and romantic streets. (B,D)
Day 5 Budapest - A full day to discover the Hungarian capital at leisure. Our optional guided sightseeing tour captures many sights including the Fisherman's Bastion, the Royal Palace, Parliament Building and St. Stephen's Basilica. Beginning with a drive to Gellért Hill, we then cross over the famous Chain Bridge and travel on to the Pest district, passing Heroes’ Square and ending at the Buda castle district. Tonight you can enjoy an optional Budapest by night excursion. (B,D)
Day 6 Györ and Schönbrunn Palace Gardens - En route to the Vienna Woods area, for a two-night stay, we visit Györ, one of the best-preserved examples of a Hungarian Renaissance and Baroque town. We continue to Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, where the gardens and park will take you into a world of Baroque culture (palace entrance not included). (B,D)
Day 7 Vienna - Included day in Vienna which has a fascinating heritage as the centre of the Habsburg Empire. Our optional guided sightseeing tour will introduce the principal sights, including the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament building, the Opera House, National Theatre and the City Hall. We see the house where Johann Strauss composed the Blue Danube Waltz before crossing the Danube to see the United Nations complex, then pass the famous Prater Wheel, before returning to the centre. (B,D)
Day 8 To Belgium for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 9 To Calais then return home. (B)

Our 12-day Extra Leisure itinerary offers an extra night and day in Prague and Budapest, plus an extra overnight stop on the return journey home, giving you a more leisurely itinerary.

The following additional excursions will be available on the 12-day Extra Leisure itinerary.
Troja Chateau - Optional visit to the beautiful Chateau, surrounded by peaceful gardens, vineyards and the Vltava River, originally built as a summer residence for Count Vaclav Vojtich Sternberg.
Danube Bend - Optional excursion to the 'Danube Bend' exploring Old Hungary, beginning with a visit to Eszergom and it's magnificeng basilica. We continue to Visegrad, viewing the old fortifications, the Szentendre where you can enjoy typical Hungarian food and walk the narrow streets where traditional handicrafts are sold.
Salzburg - Included visit to Salzburg, one of Austria's most beautiful cities with lovely squares, medieval lanes, gothic churches and quaint cafes. An optional guided walking tour is a wonderful way to discover the sights.

Your hotels
You’ll stay for two nights at the 3-star Ibis Mala Strana, or similar in Prague, the 4-star Novotel Budapest Congress, or similar in Budapest and a 4-star hotel in the Vienna Woods area at the 4-star City Hotel in Stockerau.  All hotels have a restaurant and bar and all bedrooms have T.V. and telephone. Overnight stays in northern France and Paris are will be in a city-style hotels. The 12-day tour will spend an extra night each in Prague and Budapestand a night in Bavaria.
