Excursions and visits
Marken and Volendam (optional). This full-day excursion takes us to Marken and the picturesque fishing village of Volendam. During the day, we’ll visit a cheese and clog factory. In the evening, our optional ‘Amsterdam by Night’ tour – featuring a candlelit wine and cheese cruise along the canals – is a must!
Amsterdam (included). Romantic and beautiful, Amsterdam has over 50 museums to explore, including the renowned Van Gogh museum. Watch the world go by from a canal-side café or, for a real taste of Amsterdam, join our optional canal cruise, which takes in all the major attractions along the way.

Your hotel
You’ll stay for three nights at the 4-star Hampshire Mijdrecht Hotel, on the outskirts of Utrecht. The hotel is approximately 25 miles from Amsterdam, and only opened in December 2006. It has a restaurant with bar, and all bedrooms have T.V. and telephone, and are equipped to the highest standards.
