We do everything we can to make your walking holiday as easy and enjoyable as possible.
Our walking tours are accessible to reasonably fit, healthy people with the enthusiasm to discover beautiful
regions on foot. You’ll be part of a small group of walkers, complete with your own guide. Each day, you’ll be
guided along well-planned routes at a leisurely pace, so there’s plenty of time to take in the scenery. Most days
will begin with a short transfer from your hotel to the walk’s starting point, that way, you don’t cover the same
ground every day.
Each of our walking tours feature:
•Well-planned itineraries at a leisurely pace
•Specialist walking guides with detailed notes and maps
•Hand-picked gasthofs and inns with good food
PLUS... if you’re unable to walk on any day, or if the weather is bad, you’ll be offered an alternative
optional excursion by coach so you can still enjoy your surroundings

Included guided walks
Walk 1: Steinhaus Approx.10km (included). We meet our guide and take a circular walk from the village of St. Peter along the mountain path to the lovely village of Steinhaus, where we have lunch. We return to St. Peter via an alternative route, arriving back at the hotel in time for dinner.
Walk 2: Pilgrimage Approx.14km (included). Setting out from Prettau’s copper mine, we pass through the woods, pausing at a charming pilgrim church, before heading towards the Alder Alm. After lunch, we return to the hotel via the pilgrimage route to Prettau.
Walk 3: Waldner Pilgrimage Approx. 17km (included). We embark upon the most challenging, yet most rewarding of our walks. From Prettau, we ascend from 1500m to approximately 2300m to the Waldner Alm. Enjoy outstanding views, before beginning our descent to St. Peter.
Walk 4: Klausberg Mountain Approx. 10km (included). We begin at Steinhaus, where you can visit the local museum. Continue by cable car up the Klausberg Mountain, before resuming our walk, stopping at a mountain alm for lunch. We then make our way back to Steinhaus, catching the bus back to St. Peter.

Excursions and visits
Venice (optional); Lagoon Cruise (optional).Take a day’s break from walking, and maybe visit Venice. An optional Venice Lagoon cruise, with English commentary, is a relaxing way to enjoy the magnificent views of this great city.

Your hotels
You’ll stay in the 2-star Gasthof Kordiler in St. Peter for six nights. Silver Service will stay in the 3-star
Zum Schlössl, in Uttenheim (except August 21 departure which will stay at the Gasthof Kordiler). Both of these
hotels are long-time favourites of Leger Holidays guests and have a bar, restaurant and terrace, and the
Kordiler has a lift. See page 17 for hotel picture.

Overnight stays in Belgium are in city-style hotels.
